UTM Builder
www.luz.marketing
Welcome: a quick read before you start
UTMs are the tags that tell you which campaign, channel, and content actually drove a visit or a sale on your own website (not on a third-party platform). Fill in the form below and this tool will build a clean, consistent, ready-to-use tracking link for you, with no typos and no guesswork.
Why it matters: a standardized link means your reports are accurate and comparable across every channel. A mistyped or inconsistent link means that traffic gets lost or miscounted in your analytics.
This setup works well for most businesses but may need small tweaks over time as your channels evolve, so just keep this builder updated when you add new tools or platforms.
Example of what a finished link looks like:
?utm_source=source&utm_medium=medium&utm_campaign=campaign_name&utm_content=content&utm_term=term
Guidelines: the essentials
- UTMs only work on live web pages tracked by analytics (GA4, CRM, etc.), not on PDFs or other documents.
- This builder automatically lowercases, trims, and formats your entries for you, so links stay consistent.
- Never include personal data (names, emails) in any field.
- Avoid vanity/shortened links for paid ads, since they can strip out your tracking parameters.
- If a redirect is involved (e.g. a 301), double-check the parameters survive the redirect.
- Always test your finished link before it goes live (see the note next to your generated URL).
